Se va estrechando el círculo. Los sabores de Ubuntu, próximamente, en la edición 20.04 también incluirán en la imagen ISO los drivers privativos de NVIDIA.
Esto significa muchas cosas, la más grave lo dejaré para el final. Lo primero es lo primero, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu y todo lo que contenga *Buntu se veta en el blog.
He traducido la entrada en inglés al final, porque me encantaría que tarde o temprano lo pudiera leer Canonical y los desarrolladores de los sabores de Ubuntu.
Con la adición de esos controladores de NVIDIA se termina la poca dignidad que le quedaba a esta familia que nacen de la apestosa Canonical. Canonical siempre quiso llevarse de calle a todos los gnulinuxeros pero el tiro le salió por la culata. Empezaron a emerger cientos de distros que muchas, dejan en pañales a Ubuntu. La mayor parte del batallón que no quiere basarse en el producto de la mafiosa Canonical, engendraron distros con una maestra y digna entre las dignas: Debian. Y otra buena parte se basa en una distribución mil veces mejor que Ubuntu: Arch. Sí, Ubuntu apesta y ahora con el motor de Snaps de la tienda de aplicaciones, apesta el doble. Snap es un troyano que más bien parece ingeniado por Microsoft para minar de mierda los sistemas. Tenéis lo que os merecéis, ubunteros, por instalar la distribución del Microsoft de Linux: Canonical.
Porque Canonical es el nuevo Microsoft. Hace años mostró sus garras, pero pasó sin hacer ruido en la red, sin embargo fue una demostración mafiosa. No se nos olvida el chico aquel que le hicieron la vida imposible para que cerrara el blog por presiones y amenazas de Canonical. Este chico vio que Ubuntu llevaba en su código telemetría y más cosas. Abrió un blog que hacía referencia a Ubuntu, para informar de la suciedad de esa distro, y ofrecía los pasos para deshacerse del spyware. Canonical le advirtió que no usara el nombre y el logo de Ubuntu o tendría problemas penales. Este hombre, ante el miedo, cerró su blog. Se llamaba fixubuntu.com. Leer esto.
El caso es que los sabores de Ubuntu, aunque no pertenecen a los tentáculos de Canonical, van a imitar a Ubuntu y también incluirán los drivers privativos de NVIDIA, al igual también que Mint LMDE y otras distros indignas, sucias.
Esto se pone feo. El software privativo está ganando la batalla y lo más grave es que está incentivado por los sinvergüenzas propietarios de esas distros populares en su afán de estar en los puestos más altos de uso de GNU/Linux. Jugando sucio, cruzando las líneas rojas que cada vez se acercan más a un sistema operativo tipo Windows. No, no lo hacen para ayudar a los nuevos usuarios, lo hacen por dinero. Lo hacen porque se han convertido en grandes empresas unas veces y para ser los más guais en otras.
Cada vez me pienso más en ir abandonando GNU/Linux, las distros cada vez están más sucias y parecidas Windows. Lo haría si no fuera por las pocas buenas distros que aún quedan. Siempre nos queda FreeBSD. Ahí tienen las cosas más claras y no existe el afán de vicio y dinero que existe en distros como Ubuntu o Manjaro. Es el mercado, amigos. Y buena parte de GNU/Linux está en manos de sucios capitalistas, como Canonical. Huid de ellos.
Dios salve a Debian, porque estamos perdidos en manos de la avaricia.

We don’t forget the guy who made life impossible for him to close the blog because of pressure and threats from Canonical. This kid saw that Ubuntu had telemetry and more in its code. He opened a blog that referred to Ubuntu, to report the dirt on that distro, and offered the steps to get rid of the spyware. Canonical warned him not to use the Ubuntu name and logo or he would have criminal problems. This man, out of fear, closed his blog. It was called fixubuntu.com. Read this.
The point is that the flavors of Ubuntu, while not belonging to Canonical’s tentacles, will imitate Ubuntu and will also include NVIDIA’s proprietary drivers, as well as Mint LMDE and other unworthy, dirty distros.
This is getting ugly. Proprietary software is winning the battle, and most seriously, it is being encouraged by the scoundrels who own these popular distros in their quest to be at the top of GNU/Linux usage. Playing dirty, crossing the red lines that are getting closer and closer to a Windows-like operating system. No, they don’t do it to help new users, they do it for money. They do it because they have become big business at times and to be the coolest at others.
I think more and more about abandoning GNU/Linux, the distros are getting dirtier and more Windows-like. We always have FreeBSD. There you have the clearest things and there is not the desire for vice and money that exists in distros like Ubuntu or Manjaro. It is the market, friends. And much of GNU/Linux is in the hands of dirty capitalists, like Canonical. Get away from them.
